Yield RMG has received a strategic investmentfrom Galway Sustainable Capital (Galway), enabling Yield RMG to acquire CentralCoast Compost in Hollister, CA. This acquisition includes the transformation of Central Coast Compost into a cutting-edge vermicompost facility, named Central Coast Worm Farm (CCWF), and its ambitious expansion plans. CCWF is currently producing and selling premium worm castings and agriculture-grade vermicompost. Following the footsteps of Central Coast Compost, CCWF aims to divert organic waste from landfills and convert it into organic soil amendment products using a unique worm-based waste management process.

Sustainable and Organic Agriculture
Worm castings and compost play a vital role in sustainable and organic agriculture, addressing challenges like climate change, pollution, and healthy agricultural practices. When applied to soil, worm castings may improve soil health. Healthy soils increase microbial activity, improve nutrient absorption, retain water, and sequester carbon. By using organic waste to create soil amendments, CCWF reduces landfill waste and reduce the use of synthetic fertilizer that harm the environment. Upon expansion completion, CCWF will be one of the largest vermicomposting operations on the West Coast, supplying worm castings to agricultural distributors, farms, and home and garden centers across the United States.
Galway's investment also extends to supporting Yield RMG's development of other projects in vermicomposting, water treatment, bioenergy, and sustainable agriculture.
